Setting preferences for the Log and Trace Analyzer

The following preferences can be set for the Log and Trace Analyzer:

• Customizing Log view
  You can customize the Log view by setting the time stamp format, selecting sort parameters, selecting what to display, and setting the page size.
  
  
• Customizing Symptom analysis results view

You can customize the Symptom analysis results view by setting the time stamp format, selecting what to display, and setting the page size.


• Synchronizing time of log records for distributed applications
  After any modification of delta time for log records that belong to a particular host, it is helpful to synchronize the time of these records to better facilitate sorting of such records in the Log view.
  
  
• Customizing sequence diagrams and log interactions
  You can customize the Sequence diagram views by changing the color and font of the diagram elements, setting the page size for the log interactions views, and setting the page size for the trace interaction views.
  
  
• Configuring large log support
  The Log and Trace Analyzer provides two methods of loading log resources into the Log and Trace Analyzer.
