Log View

The Log View shows the log records of an imported log in Common Base Event format. The properties and values of each log record are shown in this view. The Log View can be used in conjunction with the Log Interactions and Log Thread Interactions views to effectively examine log interactions. The analysis results of one or more log records is also shown in this view.

Log Records
The meaning of the severity color is as follows:
None
Information
Yellow
Warning
Red
Error

Tip: If you right-click on a log record and select Copy to Clipboard, the message (msg) property of that log record is copied to the clipboard. This is useful for pasting into filter and symptom catalog editors.

Properties tabs
For a selected item in the log view, displays the properties and their values by double clicking the selection or using the Properties toolbar action Properties icon.

Analysis Result
If the log record has been analyzed and corresponding entries were found in the symptom catalog, then the solutions and directives are displayed here. Note that this tab is only used as a backward compatibility support for symptom catalogs defined using the 0.1 spec. This tab is not used for analysis using 2.0+ symptom catalogs. In this situation, use the Result View to see the analysis result.
