Searching a test log

Use the Search window to search a test log for specific text or a particular event type, such as a failure, a loop, an invocation, and so on.

Open the test log that you want to search. To search only a portion of a test log, in the Events page select the parent element below which to search.
  1. In the Eclipse menu, click Search > Search.
  2. Click the Test Log Search tab.
  3. In the Search for text field, type the text you want to find.
  4. To make the search case-sensitive, select the appropriate option.
  5. To search only a portion of the test log, click Restrict to descendants of selected element or Search only immediate descendants. These options refer to the element you currently have selected in the Events page of the test log.
  6. Optionally, use Elements to Search to limit your search to certain event types. Additional options are displayed for each event type that you select.
  7. Click Search.
The Search view displays the results of your search.
