Interface SendObjectAction

All Superinterfaces:
Action, ActivityContent, ActivityNode, Element, org.eclipse.emf.ecore.EModelElement, org.eclipse.emf.ecore.EObject, ExecutableNode, InvocationAction, NamedElement, org.eclipse.emf.common.notify.Notifier, RedefinableElement

public interface SendObjectAction
extends InvocationAction

A representation of the model object 'Send Object Action'. A SendObjectAction is an InvocationAction that transmits an input object to the target object, which is handled as a request message by the target object. The requestor continues execution immediately after the object is sent out and cannot receive reply values.

From package UML::Actions.

The following features are supported:

Method Detail

getTarget

InputPin getTarget()
Returns the value of the 'Target' containment reference.

This feature subsets the following features:

The target object to which the object is sent.

From package UML::Actions.

Returns:
the value of the 'Target' containment reference.
See Also:
setTarget(InputPin), UMLPackage.getSendObjectAction_Target()

setTarget

void setTarget(InputPin value)
Sets the value of the 'Target' containment reference.

Parameters:
value - the new value of the 'Target' containment reference.
See Also:
getTarget()

createTarget

InputPin createTarget(java.lang.String name,
                      Type type,
                      org.eclipse.emf.ecore.EClass eClass)
Creates a new InputPin, with the specified 'Name', and 'Type', and sets the 'Target' containment reference.

Parameters:
name - The 'Name' for the new InputPin, or null.
type - The 'Type' for the new InputPin, or null.
eClass - The Ecore class of the InputPin to create.
Returns:
The new InputPin.
See Also:
getTarget()

createTarget

InputPin createTarget(java.lang.String name,
                      Type type)
Creates a new InputPin,with the specified 'Name', and 'Type', and sets the 'Target' containment reference.

Parameters:
name - The 'Name' for the new InputPin, or null.
type - The 'Type' for the new InputPin, or null.
Returns:
The new InputPin.
See Also:
getTarget()

validateTypeTargetPin

boolean validateTypeTargetPin(org.eclipse.emf.common.util.DiagnosticChain diagnostics,
                              java.util.Map<java.lang.Object,java.lang.Object> context)
If onPort is not empty, the Port given by onPort must be an owned or inherited feature of the type of the target InputPin. onPort<>null implies target.type.oclAsType(Classifier).allFeatures()->includes(onPort)

Parameters:
diagnostics - The chain of diagnostics to which problems are to be appended.
context - The cache of context-specific information.

getRequest

InputPin getRequest()
Returns the value of the 'Request' containment reference.

This feature redefines the following features:

The request object, which is transmitted to the target object. The object may be copied in transmission, so identity might not be preserved.

From package UML::Actions.

Returns:
the value of the 'Request' containment reference.
See Also:
setRequest(InputPin), UMLPackage.getSendObjectAction_Request()

setRequest

void setRequest(InputPin value)
Sets the value of the 'Request' containment reference.

Parameters:
value - the new value of the 'Request' containment reference.
See Also:
getRequest()

createRequest

InputPin createRequest(java.lang.String name,
                       Type type,
                       org.eclipse.emf.ecore.EClass eClass)
Creates a new InputPin, with the specified 'Name', and 'Type', and sets the 'Request' containment reference.

Parameters:
name - The 'Name' for the new InputPin, or null.
type - The 'Type' for the new InputPin, or null.
eClass - The Ecore class of the InputPin to create.
Returns:
The new InputPin.
See Also:
getRequest()

createRequest

InputPin createRequest(java.lang.String name,
                       Type type)
Creates a new InputPin,with the specified 'Name', and 'Type', and sets the 'Request' containment reference.

Parameters:
name - The 'Name' for the new InputPin, or null.
type - The 'Type' for the new InputPin, or null.
Returns:
The new InputPin.

getRequest()
